Cromwell

A small triangular shaped site made it particularly difficult to plan for a class 2 building with two apartments, roof terrace and basement car parking. Yet the constraints have shaped a special project where even the smallest and unusual spaces had to be considered and made to work. The frontage was made to follow the curve of the site to maximise usable area. The curve tightness at the corners to avoid dead ends and opens up the interior in the most interesting of locations. Sound ESD credentials with solar and water harvesting, solid construction, the selection of good quality finishes and an unexpected amount of private open space round up this unusual and exciting urban refuge.
